Benefits of the program
Professional education of students and undergraduates at the Department of Physical Education is developing as one of the priorities in higher education. This is due to modern processes of “greening” society and the need to implement ideas of sustainable development.
An interdisciplinary area of research devoted to the study of the interaction between society and nature, in which an important role is given to branches of knowledge related to geography. Based on scientific concepts and initially formed as a complex science, the RPP school has a clearly oriented applied focus. The main directions of modern research of the department are related to a comprehensive analysis of the functioning mechanism of the complex “nature-population-economy” system, analysis of connections and processes in this system for their optimization.
The fundamental knowledge that our graduates receive is supported by knowledge of applied disciplines, which are currently necessary for successful employment in many companies and organizations.
The interdisciplinary nature of scientific research conducted at the department allows graduates to further study in graduate school in two scientific specialties: “Geoecology” and “Economic, social, political and recreational geography.” Students participate in scientific expeditions on research vessels of various organizations.
